Dima Otvertchenko is a filmmaker/photographer currently living in LA but originally from the NYC area. Dima runs a website at www.twowatches.com where you can view other projects.

LDP is inspired by the life and works of Sylvia Plath and Dorothy Parker. LDP believes poetry should be both beautiful and brutal; if possible, at the same time. Because it is the presence of one that helps us to recognize the other.

Daniel Weatherfield Lichtenberg lives in Brooklyn, NY. He tries to write poems whenever the sun or moon say it's all right. He makes movies whenever it's not all right to write poems. He's been trying to avoid a desk job for some time now, and he recently succeeded in stalling fate for another three years. He will be attending SFSU's MFA in Creative Writing in the fall. You can read his writing here: http://www.shewasromantic.blogspot.com

Alwajihah is a born and raised New York college student who has had some success in writing. She won the New York Times Writing scholarship about two-three years ago and has a couple of published poems. Throughout her collection of poetry (dating back from elementary) her various styles have progressed into emotional, abnormal diction and, hopefully, promise. New York Times writer James Traub called her writing dark, unique and at times confusing. She took time off writing for a few months due to reoccurring fears in the art which she identified with, only to return with a solemn understanding of the unavoidable therapeutic bliss writing brought to her. Hopefully she'll grow even more and get over her insecurities. She blogs athttp://alwajihah.blogspot.com

Anya Bochma was born in Moscow, Russia to a couple of circus performers. Her early years consisted of peddling home-brewed vodka to circus attendees and participating in an act with Masha, the Dancing Bear. She moved to America in 1996, and, eager to get away from her early circus career, quickly learned English and upon graduation from high school was accepted into Vassar College. She double majored in English and Bear Dancing, graduating with honors. Today she's an office drone who writes a lot.

M. Plucky is a former student of performance and an on-going student of breathing. Writing has never been a public thing for her, and so she's coming out of the closet slowly and facelessly right here and now. M. Plucky writes poetry, prose and plays, though letters have always been a favorite. She sings a lot, dances and rages -- often with a purpose, often without. She tosses herself out into the world in the ways that she can and hopes for an echo back amidst the screeching of the trains.

Lisa Marie Basile is finding time to earn her English Language and Literature and Psychology degrees from Pace University in New York City in between being Editor-in-Chief of a weekly newspaper, The Pace Press, Associate Editor of Aphros Literary Magazine (a print mag) and freelance writing for websites like ChiChi212 and GirlHeadquarters. She's interning at a pretty bad-ass NY-based music magazine, Death+Taxes, and she loves coffee and Chuck Palahniuk. She's also pretty obsessed with Albert Camus. She often writes for her own poetry and prose site, The Sun Killed Him. And she's the editor of a media blog, The Five Wire. She writes too much, so please buy her a drink.

DJ Hopson is currently split between the realms of Science and English and seems to be in constant struggle with the rules of logic. While pursuing her B.S. in Forensic Science with minors in biology, chemistry and English at Pace University in New York City she is proud to be apart of her University's publications. Ms. Hopson is the Production Manager for The Pace Press for a second year - she didn't break anything so they decided to keep her on - and Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Literary magazine Aphros. She started writing at a young age but did not find her voice until recently. She would like to leave all readers of ProcessingUnit with the best advice she was ever given, say what you need to say but in a way that no one has said it before. Best of luck and keep writing.
